Spring 2022 Development Clinic

Welcome

Spring 2022 Development Clinic

All Hockey and Seattle Junior Hockey Association are working together to provide the greater hockey community with a truly premiere, high end training opportunity .   As the name states, this clinic is comprehensive.  All Hockey will not only focus training in the core areas of On Ice Skill Development, but also provide players with much needed Off Ice Training that focuses on physical strength, agility, general conditioning and stick skills.

Coaches have been chosen for their high level of aptitude as players and teaching experience. Each on ice and off ice coach has been selected for their ability to demonstrate and unpack skills into teachable components.

Primary Focus will be the following:

ON ICE

1. Powerskating - biomechanics/posture, stride, range of motion, inside and outside edge proficiency, agility, pivoting, transitioning, tight turning, etc.

2. Overspeed Training -

3. Passing - Proper hand position, giving passes and receiving with sustained movement

4. Puck Protection -

5. Agility - Proper positioning over the skate blade, strike point, with and without the puck

6. Maintaining Ice Awareness - Training "head up" style of play with and without the puck.

OFF ICE

STRENGTH TRAINING -  Players will receive first class, primarily body weight training to enhance on ice performance and overall health.  We are extremely excited to announce that Paramount Crossfit will be providing all off-ice training sessions for this clinic.   I urge players to take a closer look at this gym and to consider the benefits that can be obtained via the experts at their facility .  Contact info can be found below. Their trainers will be onsite for this clinic, providing crossfit method - high-intensity, targeted workouts that include plyometric movements, explosive agility, coordination development, core muscle strenthening and more.
